A showcase of programs and services that Outdoor Adventures and Recreation offers is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 3 to be held at Mission Lake here.

The Outdoor Extravaganza will feature a free lunch, demonstration from downtown vendors and displays that show much of what the 23rd Force Support Squadron agency has to offer.

"Through this, we hope to better inform Moody personnel of what we're here for," said Gerone Anderson, 23rd FSS outdoor recreation director. "There will be demonstrations, free food and random prizes worth more than $2,000."

These prizes will cover all aspects of what Outdoor Adventures and Recreation and Equipment Rental have to offer and hopefully spur people to take advantage of it, said Mishel Wheeler, 23rd FSS outdoor adventure manager.

"We're always trying to offer new events and programs," said Mrs. Wheeler. "Along with day trips and overnight trips, we offer clinics and classes that allow people to experience what we have."

The adventure trips include indoor sky-diving, horseback riding, camping, hiking, skiing, biking and various water sports.

"Our scalloping trip seems to be the most popular because it offers an exciting new experience," said Mrs. Wheeler. "Other possible trips this year include deep sea fishing, trout fishing, whitewater rafting, parasailing and river tubing."

In addition, Airmen who are in need of various items, whether for planning trips or for domestic purposes, can visit Equipment Rental, which offers an extensive range of items for individuals.

Aside from individual items, there are packages available that can help contribute to a successful trip.

Camping trip packages include a stove, lantern, ice chests, the proper tent size and enough sleeping bags for the group. Other camping items, to include backpacks, campers and hatchets, can be rented separately.

For those looking to clean house before relocating, there are vacuums, carpet cleaners, trailers and yard sale packages that can help make it a smooth move.

Anyone looking for more information on any of these services or items is encouraged to attend the Outdoor Extravaganza. For more information, call 257-2989.
