Throughout the summer season, Moody's library will offer several reading programs that will be available for all ages.

Children between the ages of three and 12 can register for the "Be Creative" reading program. Registration will run until July 26.

The goal during the eight weeks of "Be Creative" is for children to read or be read to a total of 25 hours. Children who complete the hours of reading will receive a certificate.

A 40-minute long School-Age Story Program is offered for children age six to 12. This program features stories, poetry and songs, and includes a take-home activity sheet.

There is also a teen program available again this year. Registration for the young adult program, "Express Yourself", runs in conjunction with "Be Creative." The goal for teens age 13 to 18 is to read a minimum of 25 hours during the program.

New this year is the adult reading program, "Master the Art of Reading." All it takes to participate is registration.

All participants who complete the reading goals for each program will earn a chance to win a prize.

In addition to the summer reading programs, the library will continue to hold the weekly Preschool Storytime. This 20-minute program promotes a love of books, reading and language through storytelling, flannel board stories, finger-plays, songs and other activities.

The library is also scheduled to host Game Day on August 1. They will offer an assortment of games and a few snacks. There will be family-friendly games as well as those suited for the older crowd.
