With the Operational Readiness Inspection scheduled to take place Sept. 21-25, the 23rd Wing has some helpful tips to ensure Moody Airmen are prepared and ready for success.

"All year, we've been having practice games and now it's time for the conference finals," said Col. Gary Henderson, 23rd Wing commander. "This major inspection is giving us a chance to demonstrate our ability to ramp up and get our people any place in the world."

During the ORI week, there may be temporary inconveniences for personnel, family membersĀ and visitors to base, such as varied hours of operation or limited manning available.

The Military Personnel Section is scheduled to have 24-hour operations. The 23rd Medical Group Pharmacy will be open during regular business hours, but delays are possible. Finance customer service and the Dining Facility are not expected to have any changes in their operating hours. Individuals who have any questions about other organizations, should contact them directly.

In addition, Team Moody is reminded of the following tips for success during the ORI:

- ALWAYS wear your reflective belt during hours of darkness or inclement weather.
- Ensure you have an up-to-date recall roster available.
- Ensure all information and contents in your mobility folder are current and complete. For current requirements, contact your unit deployment manager.
- Maintain a healthy diet and sleep pattern throughout the week.
- Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!
- Make sure to take your CAC with you when you step away from your computer.
- Always be aware of the current Force Protection Condition level and the reason why the base is currently in that posture.
- Have your personal bag packed and mobility gear sized and ready.
- Gas mask inspection cards must be filled out completely, a current copy of your quantitative gas mask fit test certificate should be inside your carrier, and gas mask inserts should be carried with you.

"It's time to put on our game face and sprint to the finish line," said Colonel Henderson. "I believe we will impress the inspection team mightily and I look forward to getting a fantastic grade."
