Military Justice Spotlight: Article 15s for January

MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. --  The information below is a summary of non-judicial punishments given by commanders under Article 15 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice in January. The punishments are determined based on individual facts and circumstances of each case.

- An airman 1st class from the 23rd Security Forces Squadron was willfully derelict in the performance of their duties by consuming alcohol under the legal age of 21 and failed to follow a lawful order. The airman 1st class received a reduction to airman, forfeitures of $600 pay for two months, restriction to base for 45 days, 14 days extra duty and a reprimand. The forfeitures were suspended.

- An airman from the 23rd Force Support Squadron was willfully derelict in the performance of their duties by sleeping while on duty. The airman received reduction to airman basic and a reprimand.

- An airman 1st class from the 23rd SFS was willfully derelict in the performance of their duties by giving alcohol to someone under the legal age of 21. The airman 1st class received reduction to airman, forfeitures of $600 pay for two months and a reprimand. The forfeitures were suspended.
