Military Justice Spotlight: Article 15s for July

The following information is a summary of nonjudicial punishments given by commanders under Article 15 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice in July. The punishments are determined based on the individual facts and circumstances of each case.

An airman first class from the 23rd Logistics Readiness Squadron was drinking under the legal age of 21 and operating a vehicle while intoxicated. The airman first class received a reduction to airman basic and a reprimand.

An airman first class from the 23rd Operations Support Squadron was drinking under the legal age of 21 and operating a vehicle while intoxicated. The airman first class received a reduction to airman basic and a reprimand.

A senior airman from the 23rd Security Forces Squadron was found sleeping on post. The senior airman received 14 days extra duty, a reduction to airman first class and a reprimand.

A senior airman from the 723rd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron failed to go to his place of duty at the prescribed time. The senior airman received a reduction to airman first class and a reprimand.

The 23rd Wing military justice team would like to spotlight the 824th Security Forces Squadron for their speedy and efficient processing of all nonjudicial punishment for July.

However, they are awaiting final signatures from the 9th Air Force judge advocate; their nonjudicial punishments for the month of July will be published in August. We appreciate the outstanding hard work of Maj. Brint Woodruff, 824th SFS commander, and Master Sgt. John Lokken, 824th SFS first sergeant.
