Moody couldn't keep up with the quick pace of Valdosta State University on Oct. 6, which led to a win for VSU with a score of 6-0.

The game started off strong with VSU pushing the play of the game toward Moody's end of the field. This eventually led to a foul by Moody, giving VSU the opportunity to score the first point of the game.

"We started the game strong against VSU but they play on a different level than us," said Timothy Fry, Moody's coach. "With the team being just newly formed, we are still working on the teamwork aspect."

The game continued going back and forth for most of the first half leading to VSU going into the half up three points.

Moody started the second half pushing strong against VSU's but their goalie made a save stopping the ball short of the goal.

"I think the game brings out the best efforts of all of the players," said Jacob Crawford, captain of the VSU soccer team. "The game was extremely competitive by both teams. We each had a good number of chances to score."

After the attempts by Moody, VSU pulled ahead to win the game.

"Both teams played a good game by never giving up and going at each other until the game was over," said Coach Fry. "A positive aspect of playing a game against VSU was it showed us what we need to work on, which helps us practice for future games."

Moody's record is currently 3-4 with an upcoming match in Thomasville Ga. Oct. 9.
