A Moody Airman deployed to Joint Base Balad, Iraq was named Tuskegee Airman of the Week, Oct. 24 to 30.

Airman 1st Class Haley Westbrook, deployed from the 824th Base Defense Squadron, is currently a tactical vehicle driver with the 332nd Expeditionary Security Force Group.

She was the lead driver during three outside the wire missions, which were critical to counter-insurgency operations success.

Airman Westbrook also kept track of the ammunition for her fellow troops, maintaining more than 59,000 rounds and ensuring 100 percent accuracy during inventories.

"Airman Westbrook is doing a great job supporting her brothers- and sisters-in-arms during every outside-the-wire mission she goes on," said Col. Christopher Craige, 332nd AEW vice commander.

In addition to ensuring the safety of her fellow servicemembers, Airman Westbrook has volunteered more than 15 hours at the USO community center assisting visitors with morale-boosting phone and computer access.

Airmen between the ranks of E-1 and E-5 are eligible to become the 332nd AEW Tuskegee Airman of the Week, based on accomplishments on- and off-duty.
