The Controlled Spending Account card which was unveiled late last year has undergone an amendment that all Service members should be aware of.

According to previous guidance, Service members who were overcharged on the CSA could use the remaining amount for personal use. Effective immediately the CSA can no longer be used for personal purchases.

Automatic Total Trip Reimbursement upgrade is scheduled to take effect in September. The upgraded will send 100 percent of travel reimbursement to Citibank.

After the final voucher is settled, members may contact Citibank and request their "residual" balance by electronic funds transfer, ask for a check, or withdraw funds from a ATM for a 2 percent fee.

Members cannot use the card like a gift card, as mentioned earlier; it is for official use only.

For members with the old GTC card, the conversion process to the CSA is on strategic-hold. All remaining GTCs will be auto-enrolled once the hold is lifted.
