Pumpkin patrol
The 23rd Security Forces Squadron is scheduled to conduct OPERATION PUMPKIN PATROL on Oct. 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. In order to provide a safe environment for families and visitors in Quiet Pines housing area during trick-or-treat activities. Quarterly Wing FOD Walk
The 23rd Wing quarterly foreign object and debris walk is scheduled for Oct. 21. All participating personnel will meet at bldg. 701 on the flightline side at 7 a.m. for a mass briefing. The uniform of the day will be the flight suit or ABU's. Be aware that members will be walking in the grass and a spare set of boots and socks is recommended. Hydrate before the walk as water will not be provided. Plastic bottles are permitted if members would like to bring a drink. For more information, contact Master Sgt. Publication submissions
To publicize an event on the Moody public website send all pertinent information to 23wg.pa2@moody.af.mil. All submissions must be received by noon on Thursday the week prior to publication.

Anger management prevention class
The next class is scheduled be held on Oct. 4, 11, 18 and 25 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in the Family Advocacy Office. There is no documentation placed in the medical record for attending this class. For more information or to sign up, call Family Advocacy at 229-257-4805.

7 Habits of Highly Effective Air Force Families
Come hear this exciting information presented by Sharon Thompson of the Airman and Family Readiness Center. The event will be held at The Spot Social Room on Oct. 3 from noon to 1 p.m. For more information call the Family Advocacy Program at 229-257-4805.

5K Run/Walk, Information Fair and Jeans for Justice Display
Participate in a 5K to observe October as National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, National Autism Month, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome Month, Suicide Prevention Week and Red Ribbon Week. The event will be held on Oct. 7 at 7 a.m. at Freedom Fitness Center.

Great Expectations
Expectant parents will learn resources available on-base and off-base for assistance during the pregnancy and information on Tricare, nutrition and exercise at the next class scheduled on Oct. 11 from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the 23rd Medical Group Education & Training Room. Couple's Communication Class
The Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program is a research and skills based program designed to help couples communicate and solve problems effectively. The next workshop will be held on Oct. 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Grassy Pond. Attire is casual dress. Lunch will be provided. PREP is a prevention program and is not designed for couples with serious problems. Engaged couples who attend this class can receive a Georgia marriage license for $16 rather than paying the regular fee of $51. Tater Tots
Tater Tots is an interactive play group for mothers, father and children from 6 weeks to 3 years old. The group will be meeting each Friday from 10 a.m. to noon in the Aerobics Center next to the Freedom II Fitness Center. Attendees should bring a small toy for their child.

Hometown News release submissions
Airmen can submit a DD Form 2266, Hometown News Release, electronically by clicking on the link via either the internal base website or the public website, www.moody.af.mil. Submissions can include a photo: minimum output 150 dpi, image size 4x5 to 5x7, JPEG format - compressed no lower than 60 percent, and saved as the submitter's last name.
Appropriate newsworthy events for submission include promotions, graduations, new assignments, awards, decorations, reenlistment, retirement, etc.
Submissions are reviewed by 23rd Wing Public Affairs before forwarding to the Army and Air Force Hometown News Service. Incomplete forms and noncompliant photos will not be approved. For more information, contact the Public Affairs office at 229-257-3345.

Toastmasters Club
Moody's Toastmasters Club is scheduled to hold meetings Thursdays at 11 a.m., in room 203 located in the Education Center. During meetings, members learn ways to practice and hone skills in communication and leadership. For more information, call 229-257-4734.

The Moody Spouses Club
