Numerous resources and thousands of books are waiting to be used at the library on base.

There are more than 35,000 books and resources available at the library and online through the libraries website to be utilized by team Moody personnel.

"We offer a huge selection of resources here and online, we do not have the shelve space for everything," said Jess Echord, library director. "We offer language programs,DVD's, audio books, online universal classes and reference material just to name a few."

The library also offers a computer lab, reading area, foreign language programs, free Wi-Fi and several activities for children of all ages. One of the many activities offered is a children's story time; hosted every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the library. This month they will offer a special story time Oct. 21 at 4 p.m.

"We do a special story time in Oct. called spooky story time, kids will be able to come dressed in their costumes and listen to spooky stories," said Erin Pearson, head library clerk and story teller. "Kids enjoy coming in their costumes and participating."

In addition to the story time that is already offered, the library staff plans on starting a new program called the story line.

"People will be able to call a phone number and let their children listen to a story," said Pearson. "We are very excited to start the story line, hopefully in the next week or so people will be able to call."

The library also supports the Moody mission by of assisting various agencies on base; they help get materials and mission essential publications offices may need to accomplish their job.

"We try to support not only the quality of life initiatives but the mission initiatives as well," said Echord.

The library is located adjacent to the force development flight, which allows easy access of library materials to help with educational needs.

"We work closely with base education, we offer college level examination program (CLEP) and test preparation materials here and online and several reference materials are available," said Echord.

The library offers an abundance of resources for team Moody personnel and is open to suggestions for new books or movies. For more information on what is available call 229-257-3539 or go to http://www.moodylibrary.com/.
