Forrest High School AFJROTC, is scheduled to hold its 24th Annual drill competition What: Number of volunteer judges required is atleast 35 or more and will judge 10 to 12 high schools. Refreshments and noon meal provided for judges. When: Jan. 7, 2012. Show time for judges is 7 a.m. and expected completion time is 5 p.m. Where: 5530 Firestone Road, Forrest High School, Jacksonville, Fl. 32244 Why: The school would like Moody members to provide support with judges for the competition. Combined Federal Campaign kicks off at Moody AFB Nov. 15 What: The CFC supports eligible nonprofit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world. Moody offers Web Enhanced classes in English Composition 1, 2 and English Lit, Speech, Management, Sociology, History and Accounting POC: Ed Rains, Georgia Military College Moody Program Coordinator at 229-244-7323 Toys for tots What: The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation gives the opportunity for people to touch the lives of local families by providing toys to children that otherwise would not be so fortunate. Where: If you are interested in donating to this organization, you can do so by purchasing a new, unwrapped toy and placing it any of the donation boxes placed within units around base. There will also be a box at each entrance to the Exchange. Moody Runners Group Who: The Moody Runners Group is looking for members from Moody and the local communities. When: The group will be meeting each Friday from 10 a.m. to noon in the Aerobics Center next to the Freedom I Fitness Center. Attendees should bring a small toy for their child. Hometown News release submissions Airmen can submit a DD Form 2266, Hometown News Release, electronically by clicking on the link via either the internal base website or the public website, www.moody.af.mil. Submissions can include a photo: minimum output 150 dpi, image size 4x5 to 5x7, JPEG format - compressed no lower than 60 percent, and saved as the submitter's last name. Appropriate newsworthy events for submission include promotions, graduations, new assignments, awards, decorations, reenlistment, retirement, etc. Submissions are reviewed by 23rd Wing Public Affairs before forwarding to the Army and Air Force Hometown News Service.
