All submissions must be received by noon on Thursday the week prior to publication. The Valdosta Daily Times has assumed publication responsibility of the Moody Volunteer, so submission doesn't guarantee publication. All articles or briefs are subject to editing. Moody telephone directory becomes available to personnel The Moody Telephone Directory for 2012 will soon be available for base wide distribution. The base directory will contain: · A complete history and profile of the base and its associate units. · A list of phone numbers for Moody, Department of Defense and Defense Switched Network as well as base maps and community maps. · Information on local businesses, a yellow page advertisers section and Tricare, United Concordia medical and dental sections. · The directories will be free to all base personnel, dependents, contractors, civil service and retirees. · Members who would like to place a directory order to be delivered free to their unit, offices and building, visit http://www.militarymediainc.com/books · Each order must have a minimum of 12 each so it is recommended to coordinate and consolidate publication orders. SGMC announces changes to youth care What: The South Georgia Medical Center's after-hours pediatric clinic, will move from its current location in the main building to the Ashley Street Outpatient Center, 2330 North Ashley St. When: April 30, 2012. Aquatics Update On April 23 the indoor pool will closed and all lap swim lessons and water aerobics will be held at the outdoor pool. Hometown News release submissions Airmen can submit a DD Form 2266, Hometown News Release, electronically by clicking on the link via either the internal base website or the public website, www.moody.af.mil. Submissions can include a photo: minimum output 150 dpi, image size 4x5 to 5x7, JPEG format - compressed no lower than 60 percent, and saved as the submitter's last name. Appropriate newsworthy events for submission include promotions, graduations, new assignments, awards, decorations, reenlistment, retirement, etc. Submissions are reviewed by 23rd Wing Public Affairs before forwarding to the Army and Air Force Hometown News Service.
