The following information is a summary of nonjudicial punishments given by commanders under Article 15 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice from Jan. 15 to Feb. 14. The punishments are determined based on the individual facts and circumstances of each case.

A senior airman from the 23d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron wrongfully used marijuana. The senior airman received a reduction to the grade of airman first class, a suspended reduction to the grade of airman and a reprimand.

An airman first class from the 23d Equipment Maintenance Squadron drove while under the influence of alcohol. The airman first class received a reduction to the grade of airman, a suspended reduction to the grade of airman basic, forfeitures of $500 pay per month for one month, suspended forfeitures of $500 pay per month for one month, 45 days extra duty and a reprimand.

A staff sergeant from the 23d EMS wrongfully used marijuana. The staff sergeant received a reduction to the grade of senior airman, 30 days extra duty and a reprimand.

A senior airman from the 23d EMS wrongfully used marijuana. The Senior Airman received a reduction to the grade of airman first class, 20 days extra duty and a reprimand.

An airman from the 23d Operations Support Squadron failed to obey a lawful order by driving with suspended driving privileges. The airman received a suspended reduction to the grade of airman basic and a reprimand.

A technical sergeant from the 23d Medical Group drove while under the influence of alcohol. The technical sergeant received a reduction to the grade of staff sergeant, forfeitures of $1,532 pay per month for two months, 45 days extra duty and a reprimand.


The following information is a summary of administrative discharges executed under AFI 36-3208, Administrative Separation of Airmen. The discharges are determined based on the individual facts and circumstances of each case.

Former Service members forego the following benefits given the specific discharge service characterization:
- Honorable: None
- Under Honorable Conditions (General): GI Bill, Civil Service Employment Preference
- Under Other Than Honorable (UOTHC): GI Bill, Civil Service Employment Preference, Mileage, Payment for Accrued Leave

A senior airman from the 723d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron was discharged for minor disciplinary infractions including failing to adhere to flightline safety standards, failing to comply with a technical order and failing a dormitory room inspection. For these offenses, the senior airman received a General service characterization.

An airman basic from the 823d Base Defense Squadron was discharged for drug abuse for using marijuana. For this offense, the airman basic received a General service characterization.

An airman first class from the 23d EMS was discharged for minor disciplinary infractions including failing a dormitory room inspection, arrest by security forces and failing to follow an order given by a superior NCO. For these offenses, the airman first class received a General service characterization.

An airman first class from the 23d Aerospace Medicine Squadron was discharged for minor disciplinary infractions including failing to go to the appointed place of duty at the time prescribed, failing to obey a lawful order and failing to show to mandatory formations. For these offenses, the airman first class received a General service characterization.

An airman from the 723d AMXS was discharged for minor disciplinary infractions including failing a dormitory room inspection, failing to inventory the issued composite toolkit and stealing military property. For these offenses, the airman received a General service characterization.

An airman first class from the 23d Civil Engineer Squadron was discharged for failure to maintain minimum fitness standards. For this offense, the airman first class received an Honorable service characterization.

An airman first class from the 23d OSS was discharged for minor disciplinary infractions including dereliction of duty, failing to show to the appointed place of duty at the time prescribed and willfully lying to a senior NCO. For these offenses, the airman first class received a General service characterization.

An airman basic from the 23d Logistics Readiness Squadron was discharged for drug abuse for transferring prescribed medications to other persons, using marijuana and distributing marijuana. For these offenses, the airman basic received a General service characterization.

A senior airman from the 723d AMXS was discharged for failure to maintain minimum fitness standards. For this offense, the senior airman received an Honorable service characterization.

A senior airman from the 336th Recruiting Squadron was discharged for minor disciplinary infractions including failing to go to the appointed place of duty at the time prescribed on diverse occasions, dereliction of duty on diverse occasions and disrespect to an NCO. For these offenses, the senior airman received an Honorable service characterization.
