National Hurricane Preparedness Week 2013 begins May 26 with hurricane season beginning in June, and Moody leadership wants to spread awareness on being prepared for a natural disaster.

Knowing how to respond when high winds, heavy rainfall, tornadoes and other potentially destructive weather are forecasted can save lives and assets.

A hurricane survival guide can be found on the Moody AFB homepage at: http://www.moody.af.mil It is located on the right-hand side of the page.

In the case of an emergency, the Air Force Personnel Accountability and Assessment System will be used to account, and manage the recovery of Air Force personnel and their families affected by a catastrophic event. It is also used to communicate decisions from the commander and the current hurricane condition during base evacuations.

Below is a list of informational websites, local information and smart phone applications that will help aid in hurricane preparedness.
