Moody Spouses’ Club announces scholarship recipients

MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. --
Members of the Moody Spouses' Club (MSC) held a reception to award nine military family members with a total of $15,000 in scholarships at the Moody Chapel May 5, 2013.
This year, scholarships were awarded into three categories: high school graduate, continuing college and Moody military spouse. Selection was based on academic achievement, community involvement and leadership skills.
The Education Leadership Department at Valdosta State University provided an impartial board to judge the applicants packets, who were all kept anonymous.
The recipients under each category with scholarship amounts are as follows:

Stephanie Ramer, $2,500
Mark Garren, $1,500
Logan Franks, $1,000
Brittany Koppen, $1,000
Moody Spouse
Sonia Ghazali, $2,500
Meagan Sackenheim, $1,500
Larissa Babbit, $1,000
Continuing College
Kali Koppen, $2,500
Breanna Russ, $1,500
All funds supporting the MSC come from the profits made at the Moody Thrift Shop.
