MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- Airmen from the 347th Operations Support Squadron performed Aircrew Contamination Control Area training, Aug. 24, here.
ACCA training teaches aircrew how to remove and properly handle any contamination on their gear. The training is provided monthly or at the request of the aircrew.
Tech. Sgt. Kelly Dawson, 347th OSS NCO in charge of aircrew flight equipment, emphasized how the Airmen from the 347th OSS serve a critical role, and can help save the lives of the aircrew.
Dawson explained they always continue practicing [chemical] warfare decontamination as a deterrent in hopes that the enemy may, if they see that we are fully capable of combatting a biological chemical warfare that it’s not going to deter us.
