A 20mm Land-Based Phalanx Weapon System, operated by the 218th Field Artillery Regiment, attached to Task Force Armadillo, fires a Pre-Action Calibration Firing (PACFIRE) exercise at Al-Tanf Garrison, Syria, on March 24, 2025. The PACFIRE exercise calibrates the entire system to ensure that rounds fired are more accurate and on target during engagements. After firing, the machine also went through clearing and cleaning operations to maintain its operational readiness and ensure safety.
