Syrian Democratic Forces Spokesperson, Kino Gabriel, gives an update on Operation Roundup and the current operations to clear explosive remnants of war from recently liberated areas in northeastern Deir EzZor at the International Media Center in Ain Issa, Syria, July 29, 2018. (U.S. Army video by SSG Brigitte Morgan)

Script:
Syrian Democratic Forces achieved good progress last week in northeastern Deir EzZor countryside, in the Syria-Iraqi border area. During this period we were focused on non-combatant operations. Our forces have strengthened its defensive positions, secured the area, and expanded its operations to clear the mines planted by ISIS.

Our forces managed to dismantle hundreds of mines and IEDs, and ensure the safety of our people who return to their homes. We remind our people to be careful and encourage them not to get close or touch any suspicious objects, and to report any criminal or terrorist activities to the nearest SDF checkpoint.

As our fight against ISIS continues, we are still seeing Syrian men and women ready and willing to join the Syrian Democratic Forces. Hundreds of new recruits are joining at our recruitment centers in northern Syria and participating in defeating ISIS and defending their people and home.

Soon the military operations will start in the Middle Euphrates River Valley. ISIS will be completely defeated in northeastern Syria and the people will be able to go back to their normal life.

Besides that, civil councils are working hard to meet the needs of all Syrians and are constantly expanding their work. The Deir EzZor Civil Council expanded into the Kesrat area and opened a new People’s Council that will provide essential services.

Also, hundreds of hygiene kits were divested to the Shaddadi Civil Council and were distributed to civilians in recently liberated areas.

Recovery to our wounded, glory to our martyrs, freedom and democracy for all Syrians.

Thank you.

About Moody Bridge Chat

Bridge Chat's purpose is to create cohesive, high-performing teams that foster trust and connection through flexible and consistent small group discussions; in direct response to overwhelming feedback from the CSAF 21's Resilience Tactical Pause.

Caring for our Wingmen is what defines us as Airmen, so we must work to get to know our teammates and the challenges they face. We all have the same responsibility of creating the workplace we want and supporting the people we share our lives with.

Bridge Chat topics are posted here monthly to encourage small group discussions within teams. Beginning the process of recurring discussions can be difficult, but will become easier with time and reinforce the Flying Tiger culture.

To help us initiate and facilitate these discussions, we have included a guide that defines roles and ground rules.

The Flying Tiger Bridge Chat Facilitator provides facilitator trainings for base personnel. Their goal is to create squadron facilitators who take action on ACC's goal of equipping, engaging and empowering Airmen with resilience tools and create high-performing teams who look out for each other.
