Soldiers assigned to U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), conduct a practice run before testing on the M18A1 Claymore portion of the weapons lane, during the Expert Soldier Badge (ESB) qualification on Caserma Del Din, Vicenza, Italy, Nov. 7, 2022. The ESB is a United States Army special skills badge that is awarded to U.S. military personnel and NATO military personnel who successfully complete a set of qualification test, including both written and performance portions. The E3B is a combined event that will test Soldier’s skills to achieve the Expert Infantry Badge, Expert Soldier Badge or the Expert Field Medical Badge. This is the first E3B hosted at SETAF-AF with competitors from SETAF-AF, 173rd Airborne Brigade, 509th Strategic Signal Battalion, U.S. Special Operations Command Africa, units from U.S. Army Europe and Africa Command and service members from Spain, Croatia and Italy. The Flying Tiger Bridge Chat Facilitator provides facilitator trainings for base personnel. Their goal is to create squadron facilitators who take action on ACC's goal of equipping, engaging and empowering Airmen with resilience tools and create high-performing teams who look out for each other.
