Army G1 and DFAS: Civilian PCS Tax Law Changes

Army G1 and DFAS PCS Tax Law Change Town Hall held at IMCOM-Europe Workforce Development Center at Sembach Kaserne, Germany. Officials from Army G1 office from Ft. Belvoir, VA as well as representatives from the Kaiserslautern CPAC appeared in person at the event and subject matter experts from DFAS-Indianapolis and DFAS-Rome NY joined in by VTC to brief participants about PCS Tax Liabilities that have come about due to the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Items discussed included which PCS costs are taxable and non-taxable, Relocation Incentive Tax Allowance (RITA), and Withholding Tax Allowance.
