1st Information Operations Command (Land) welcomes its new commander, Col. Matthew J. Sheiffer, as he assumes command from Col. Brian C. Mellen, outgoing commander and farewells its senior enlisted leader, Command Sgt. Maj. Cecil V. Reynolds as he relinquishes responsibility for the command in a virtual combined ceremony, Fort Belvoir, Virginia, June 12.

Maj. Gen. Gary W. Johnston, commanding general, U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM), virtually presided over the ceremony, welcoming Sheiffer and fare-welling Mellen and Reynolds.

1st Information Operations Command (Land) is the Army's only active duty IO brigade, 1st IO CMD provides information operation support to Army and Joint forces through deployable support teams, reach back planning and analysis, and specialized training to support freedom of action in the Information Environment and to deny the same to our adversaries.

Bridge Chat topics are posted here monthly to encourage small group discussions within teams. Beginning the process of recurring discussions can be difficult, but will become easier with time and reinforce the Flying Tiger culture.

To help us initiate and facilitate these discussions, we have included a guide that defines roles and ground rules.

The Flying Tiger Bridge Chat Facilitator provides facilitator trainings for base personnel. Their goal is to create squadron facilitators who take action on ACC's goal of equipping, engaging and empowering Airmen with resilience tools and create high-performing teams who look out for each other.
