Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron-1

U.S. Marines with 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, assigned to Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One, participate in Assault Support Tactics (AST) 4 during Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) course 1-24, near Yuma, Arizona, Oct. 24, 2023. Video includes aerial lift, transport of Helicopter Expeditionary Refueling System, 81mm mortar live-fire range, and close air support. WTI is an advanced, graduate-level course for selected pilots and enlisted aircrew providing standardized advanced tactical training and assists in developing and employing aviation weapons and tactics. AST-4 provides prospective weapons and tactics instructors the opportunity to plan, brief, and execute a night, long range battalion air assault to multiple objectives simultaneously in a medium threat environment while conducting five of the six functions of Marine Aviation. The Flying Tiger Bridge Chat Facilitator provides facilitator trainings for base personnel. Their goal is to create squadron facilitators who take action on ACC's goal of equipping, engaging and empowering Airmen with resilience tools and create high-performing teams who look out for each other.
