Colonel MEGAN F. HALL

Col. Megan F. Hall is the commander of the 820th Base Defense Group at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia. She leads more than 690 airmen and Department of War civilian personnel, ensuring they are organized, trained and equipped, and ready to execute their expeditionary mission. Hall provides strategic oversight for the Air Force’s only first-in, airborne-capable security forces group, comprised of a group headquarters staff, a combat operations squadron, and three base defense squadrons. These units provide rapidly deployable, high-risk force protection and integrated base defense for combatant commands in any environment.

Hall was commissioned into the Air Force in May 2003 as a Reserve Officers’ Training Corps graduate from the University of Louisville, Kentucky. Since then, she has served in diverse security roles and deployed multiple times worldwide, leading presidential security visits within the Americas and participating in exercises across the Indo-Pacific and Central Command areas of responsibility. Before this position, Hall served as the chief of the Security Forces Division, Directorate of Logistics, Engineering, and Force Protection, Headquarters Air Mobility Command at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.
