Chief Master Sgt. Andrew R. Shone is the Command Chief Master Sergeant of the 93d Air Ground Operations Wing, Moody Air Force Base, Georgia. The Wing consists of four groups with over 2,500 Airmen at 20 locations throughout the Continental U.S. Subordinate units are the 3d Air Support Operations Group at Fort Hood, Texas; 18th Air Support Operations Group at Fort Bragg, North Carolina; 5th Combat Weather Group at Fort Bragg, North Carolina; and the 820th Base Defense Group at Moody AFB. CMSgt Shone's primary responsibility is to advise the wing commander on matters influencing the readiness, training, equipping, morale, welfare, quality of life and professional development of all assigned members of the wing.
CMSgt. Shone entered the Air Force in May 1998 from Tampa. Florida. He graduated from the Security Specialist course at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, in September 1998 as a Law Enforcement Specialist. His background includes diverse duties in Security Forces to include training, flight chief and operations superintendent. His assignments include bases in Korea, North Dakota, Germany, Florida, Georgia, Wyoming, Oklahoma and California. He has deployed in support of operations SOUTHERN WATCH, ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, INHERENT RESOLVE and OCTAVE SHIELD. Prior to his current assignment, he served as the Senior Enlisted Leader for the 9th Mission Support Group at Beale Air Force Base, California.
