Col. Jennifer Short, left, 23d Wing commander, participates in close-quarter combat with Airmen from the 347th Operations Support Squadron (OSS) during an immersion tour, July 23, 2018, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. During the immersion, Short visited with Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape (SERE) and medical specialists from the 347th OSS. The 347th OSS rescue training center houses both independent duty medical technician paramedics and SERE specialists, whose mission is to train and equip Airmen to be able to survive and save lives while in austere environments.
