The following information is a summary of nonjudicial punishments given by commanders under Article 15 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice in from Feb. 1 to Feb. 28. The punishments are determined based on the individual facts and circumstances of each case.

Article 15s

A staff sergeant from the 347th Operation Support Squadron misused his Government Travel Card for his own personal use while he was on leave. For this offense, the staff sergeant received a suspended reduction to the grade of senior airman, 14 days extra duty and a reprimand.

A staff sergeant from the 71st Rescue Squadron misused his Government Travel Card for his own personal use and made a false official statement. For these offenses, the staff sergeant received a reduction to the grade of senior airman, 14 days extra duty and a reprimand.

A staff sergeant from the 23d Component Maintenance Squadron was derelict in the performance of his duties by failing to follow the rules of a technical order on multiple occasions. For these offenses, the staff sergeant received a reduction to the grade of senior airman and a reprimand.

A senior airman from the 23d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron wrongfully used marijuana. For this offense, the senior airman received a reduction to the grade of airman first class and a reprimand.

An airman first class from the 23d Security Forces Squadron obstructed justice by disclosing details of an ongoing case after he was ordered not to discuss it. For this offense, the airman first class received reduction to the grade of airman, suspended forfeitures of $867.00 for two months, 15 days extra duty and a reprimand.

A senior airman from the 822d Base Defense Squadron stole government property for his personal use and signed a document endorsing someone else's name. For these offenses, the senior airman received a reduction to the grade of airman first class, suspended forfeitures of $300.00 for two months, 30 days suspended extra duty and a reprimand.

A Major from the 23d Wing violated the government computer procedures and committed conduct unbecoming of an officer and gentleman by viewing and downloading porn. For these offenses the Major received forfeitures of $1000.00 for two months with one month forfeiture suspended and a reprimand.

Rapid Discharge

An airman first class from the 23d Equipment Maintenance Squadron was discharged for Entry Level Performance or Conduct:  Failure to adapt to the military environment and reluctance to make the effort necessary to meet Air Force standards of conduct and duty performance.  This airman first class had an anxiety attack and stated to leadership that the Air Force was a mistake and he would do whatever it took to go home.  This airman first class was discharged with an Entry Level Separation.
