The following information is a summary of nonjudicial punishments given by commanders under Article 15 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice during the month of April, 2015. The punishments are determined based on the individual facts and circumstances of each case.

Article 15's:

A staff sergeant from the 23d Equipment Maintenance Squadron stole an item from the Army and Air Force Exchange Service worth about $4.  For this offense, this staff sergeant received a reduction to the grade of senior airman and a reprimand. 
An airman first class from the 723d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron failed to obey a lawful order on multiple occasions by violating a no contact order. For these offenses, this airman first class received a reduction to the grade of airman, 15 days extra duty, suspended for six months and a reprimand.


The following information is a summary of administrative discharges executed under Air Force Instruction 36-3206 and AFI 36-3208, Administrative Separation of Airmen, during the month April 2015. Discharges are determined based on the individual facts and circumstances of each case, and are a commander's decision to initiate. Former service members forego benefits given the specific discharge service characterization: Below are some examples:
- Honorable: None
- Under Honorable Conditions (General): GI Bill, Civil Service Employment Preference
- Under Other Than Honorable (UOTHC): GI Bill, Civil Service Employment Preference, Mileage, Payment for Accrued Leave

Notification Discharge:

An airman from the 23d Equipment Maintenance Squadron was discharged for Misconduct: Minor Disciplinary Infractions.  This airman forcibly took their spouse's phone and shattered it by throwing it against a door, kicked and punched the walls of their residence, failed to report to their place of duty on multiple occasions, absented themselves from their place of duty and was derelict in the performance of their duties.  This airman was discharged with an Under Honorable Conditions (General) service characterization.

An airman first class from the 23d Maintenance Operations Flight was discharged for Misconduct: Minor Disciplinary Infractions.  This airman first class made sexual comments about another military member to their supervisor, failed to maintain financial responsibilities, failed to report to a scheduled appointment and made a false official statement.  This airman first class was discharged with an Under Honorable Conditions (General) service characterization.


Discharge Board waived:

An airman from the 822nd Base Defense Squadron was discharged for Misconduct: Minor Disciplinary Infractions.  This airman conspired with other military members to commit larceny, signed a false official document, made a false claim against the United States for payment of household goods, absented themselves from their place of duty, drove under the influence and failed to obey a lawful order.  This airman was discharged with an Under Other Than Honorable Conditions service characterization.

Discharge Board:

A technical sergeant from the 23d Equipment Maintenance Squadron was discharged for Misconduct: Sexual Assault.  This technical sergeant groped the private area of another airman through the clothing by causing bodily harm with the intent to sexually gratify him/herself. This technical sergeant was discharged with an Under Honorable Conditions (General) service characterization.
