Staff Sgt. Christopher Willis

Unit: 347th Operations Support Squadron

Duty title: Air traffic control apprentice

Hometown: Olympia, Wash.

Hobbies: I like to go four wheeling and mountain biking.

How does your job impact the mission: By controlling aircraft, the job I do impacts the wing's mission by allowing it to accomplish the training and real-world missions as safely and efficiently as possible.

Most memorable Air Force experience: I was deployed to Saudi Arabia at the beginning of Operation Iraqi Freedom; as a former KC-135 repair and reclamation mechanic, it was awesome to see the number of sorties we were turning there.

Air Force goal: Right now my goal is to get my control tower operator certification and enjoy my new job.
