AIR FORCE AID SOCIETY:

The AFAS is located in the Airman and Family Readiness Center and provides financial assistance to eligible active duty military personnel, retirees, spouses of deceased military personnel and family members, for unforeseen financial emergencies.
The "Car Care Because We Care" program is sponsored by the AFAS. Spouses whose sponsors will be on temporary duty for more 90 days are eligible. Spouses must bring a copy of the sponsor's TDY orders to the A&FRC to obtain a voucher for a free vehicle safety inspection. The AFAS also assists active duty military members and their families with educational assistance (loans and grants).

All enlisted, officers, retirees and family members are authorized to dine on Federal Holidays and the Air Force Birthday All civilians, contractors, and DoD personnel are authorized to eat during dinner meal and weekends. Everyone is invited to dine for dinner, weekends, holidays and down days. The Georgia Pines Dining Facility offers a wide variety of delicious and nutritious meals to authorized Airmen. GOLF COURSE:
Golf Course Quiet Pines Golf Course is located directly across from the north gate, adjacent to base housing. This fine facility offers a challenging nine-hole golf course, practice putting green, driving range, a well-stocked pro-shop and a full-service snack bar featuring home-style breakfast and home-made burgers for lunch. The course is open for play seven days a week, year-round, and non-Department of Defense players are eligible to use the course. Dining is available 7 am to 2 pm every day.

Military Recreation Area Grassy Pond is a 500+ acre recreation area with a 275 acre pond that has 19 cabins, 39 RV/Tent sites, four group shelters and a recreational boat area. YOUTH PROGRAMS:
The Youth Center Programs/Services School-Age Program provides care for children ages 5 to 12 before and after school, on school holidays and during summer vacation. The program is accredited through the National School-Age Care Alliance and provides quality care for children of active-duty military, Department of Defense and non-appropriated funds civilians, reservists and base contractors.
