The NYPD memorial service honored three detectives who had fallen in the line of duty, one of which was Tech. Sgt. Joseph Lemm, who in 2015, was one of six U.S. troops killed by a suicide bomber while conducting overseas missions with the 820th Base Defense Group in Afghanistan.
