U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Cameron Piechowski, 347th Operations Support Squadron aircrew flight equipment journeyman, unscrews an MBU-20/P mask on an HGU-55/P helmet at the 71st Rescue Squadron at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia, Jan. 4, 2023. Piechowski routinely disassembles, inspects, cleans and reassembles more than four helmets on a daily basis to ensure the safety of the 71st RQS aircrew. Each helmet consists of over 50 inspectable components and takes over an hour to process. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Courtney Sebastianelli)
