Arts and crafts
Peggy Beauvais, 23d Force Support Squadron Airman and Family Readiness Center director, decorates gourds at the Flatlanders Frolic arts and crafts festival, Oct. 11, 2014, in Lakeland, Ga. Beauvais uses different techniques such as burning, chipping, painting, staining, beading and carving to make various designs in her home-grown gourds. The hobby developed about four years ago when she saw the designs at a gourd show. Beauvais previously worked as the transition assistance manager at Scott Air Force Base, Ill., before her reassignment to Moody Air Force Base, Ga. (U.S. Air Force photo by Master Sgt.
