Moody Celebrates Life of Paker Greene

W. Parker Greene Jr. speaks at the Celebration of Life ceremony honoring his father, March 14, 2019, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. Mr. Greene was an Air Force advocate who was the patriarch of the relationship between Moody and the local community. He was also instrumental in keeping Moody active after it was identified for possible closure in 1991; his continued dedication to the Air Force resulted in him receiving the highest Air Force civilian honor, the Air Force Distinguished Public Service Award twice. Mr. Greene, a steadfast Air Force advocate and one of the most influential military civic leaders, passed away Dec. 18, 2018. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Eugene Oliver)
