Recycling pays off
Brass collected from the range at Combat Arms Training and Maintenance sits in a box at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia, May 24, 2023. Approximately every three years when the 38-40,000 pound weight requirement is reached, the company with the highest bid will pay to remove the brass. Last year, Moody sold the brass for $110,000 allowing the recycling center to acquire a new forklift to continue their efforts. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Deanna Muir)
