23d Wing CC trains with 81st FS
An Airman, right, assigned to the 81st Fighter Squadron, explains canopy operations of an A-29B Super Tucano to Col. Dan Walls, 23d Wing commander, Sept. 3, 2020, at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia. The A-29 is a light air support training aircraft assigned to the 81st FS, a tenant unit at Moody responsible for training Afghan, Brazilian and Nigerian pilots and maintainers. Walls, an A-10C Thunderbolt II pilot, attended the egress training in order to gain the knowledge needed in case of an emergency during future flights in an A-29.
