The following information is a summary of nonjudicial punishments given by commanders under Article 15 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice during the months of May and June 2015. The punishments are determined based on the individual facts and circumstances of each case.

Article 15's:

A staff sergeant from the 23d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron failed to obey a military protective order. For this offense, the staff sergeant received a reduction to the grade of senior airman and a reprimand.

A first lieutenant from the 347th Operations Support Squadron made two false official statements and displayed conduct unbecoming of an officer. For these offenses, the first lieutenant received forfeiture of $2,000 pay per month for two months and a reprimand.

An airman from the 23d OSS failed to obey lawful orders, was absent without leave and made a false official statement. For these offenses, the airman received a suspended reduction to the grade of airman basic, 10 days extra duty and a reprimand.

A senior airman from the 23d Equipment Maintenance Squadron failed to attend mandatory PT sessions, solicited another to lie and made a false official statement. For these offenses, the senior airman received a reduction to the grade of airman first class and a reprimand.

A staff sergeant from the 23d EMS tested positive for THC. For this offense, the staff sergeant received a reduction to the grade of senior airman and a reprimand.

An airman first class from the 23d Force Support Squadron admitted to smoking methamphetamine. For this offense, the airman first class received a reduction to the grade of airman and a reprimand.

An airman first class from the 23d Component Maintenance Squadron was absent without leave. For this offense, the airman first class received a reduction to the grade of airman, with a suspended reduction to airman basic, 30 days restriction to base and a reprimand.

A senior airman from the 23d EMS tested positive for THC.  For this offense, the senior airman received a reduction to the grade of airman and a reprimand.

A senior airman from the 824th Base Defense Squadron was drunk on duty. For this offense, the senior airman received a reduction to the grade of airman first class and a reprimand.

A senior airman from the 38th Rescue Squadron was removed from the Evasion and Conduct After Capture course, after arriving late to the course location. For this offense, the senior airman received forfeiture of $300.00 pay for one month.

An airman first class from the 23d CMS was caught underage drinking. For this offense, the airman first class received a suspended reduction to the grade of airman, forfeiture of $500 pay per month for two months (one month suspended), 30 days restriction to base and a reprimand.

An airman first class from the 23d EMS failed to show to work on time. For this offense, the airman first class received a suspended reduction to the grade of airman, forfeiture of $204.00 pay per month for two months, 30 days extra duty, and a reprimand.

An airman from the 23d AMXS was absent of place of duty without leave and made a false official statement.  For these offenses, the airman received a reduction to airman basic and a reprimand.

The following information is a summary of administrative discharges executed under AFI 36-3206 and AFI 36-3208, Administrative Separation of Airmen, during the months of May and June, 2015. Discharges are imitated based on the individual facts and a circumstance of each case, and is a commander's decision to initiate. Former service members forego benefits given the specific discharge service characterization: Below are some examples:
- Honorable: None
- Under Honorable Conditions (General): GI Bill, Civil Service Employment Preference
- Under Other Than Honorable (UOTHC): GI Bill, Civil Service Employment Preference, Mileage, Payment for Accrued Leave

Notification Discharge:

An airman first class from the 38th RQS was discharged for unsatisfactory performance: Failure to progress in military training required to be qualified for service with the Air Force or for performance of primary duties. This Airman First Class failed to progress in upgrade training and failed to meet the minimum passing score on their end of course exam. The airman was discharged with an Honorable service characterization.

An airman first class from the 23d AMXS was discharged for failure to meet minimum fitness standards. The airman first class failed the physical fitness test four times in an 18-month period. The airman first class was discharged with an Honorable service characterization.

An airman basic from the 23d CMS was discharged for misconduct: minor disciplinary infractions. The airman basic violated two no contact orders, failed a dormitory inspection, made a false official statement and damaged military property. This airman basic was discharged with an Under Honorable Conditions (General) service characterization.

An airman from the 23d OSS was discharged for misconduct: minor disciplinary infractions. The Airman failed multiple dormitory room inspections, damaged military property, made a false official statement and failed to meet work center expectations. This airman was discharged with an Under Honorable Conditions (General) service characterization.

An airman first class from the 23d Civil Engineer Squadron was discharged for failure to meet minimum fitness standards.  The airman first class failed the physical fitness test four times in a 21-month period.  This airman first class was discharged with an Honorable service characterization.

A senior airman from the 723d AMXS was discharged for misconduct: pattern of misconduct, discreditable involvement with military or civil authorities. The senior airman was arrested twice for various offenses to include speeding, expired registration, driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance, altering a license plate, failure to signal lane change, improper lane change, improper tag display and fleeing from a police officer.  The senior airman was discharged with an Under Honorable Conditions (General) service characterization.

A senior airman from the 23d AMXS was discharged for misconduct: minor disciplinary infractions. The senior airman committed the offense of driving while intoxicated, arrived to their duty location after their schedule show time, failed to complete an official Air Force form as directed and failed to avoid the appearance of an unprofessional sexual relationship with their supervisor. The senior airman was discharged with an Under Honorable Conditions (General) service characterization.

An airman from the 23d EMS was discharged for misconduct: minor disciplinary infractions. The airman absented themselves from their place of duty, failed to pay their apartment lease on time on several occasions, failed to property perform a pre/post-use inspection on two separate trailers, failed to report on time to their appointed place of duty, made a false official statement, failed to show to a military appointment and failed to complete assigned tasks.  The airman was discharged with an Under Honorable Conditions (General) service characterization. 

A senior airman from 824th BDS was discharged for misconduct: minor disciplinary infractions.  The senior airman was arrested for disorderly conduct and obstruction, failed to keep their dorm room in inspection order, left their primary duty weapon in a vehicle that departed the location, consumed alcoholic beverages while underage and ran from security and Lowndes County Sherriff Officers.   The senior airman was discharged with an Under Honorable Conditions (General) service characterization.

Discharge Board waived:

An airman first class from the 822d BDS was discharged for misconduct: minor disciplinary infractions. The airman first class absented themselves from their unit without authority, stole a black leather couch, entertainment hutch and a glass table, failed to show at the prescribed time to bay orderly, failed to conduct and properly document their assigned kennel checks, and failed to report to mandatory appointments on multiple occasions. The airman first class was discharged with an Under Honorable Conditions (General) service characterization.

Discharge Board:

A technical sergeant from the 723d AMXS was discharged for misconduct: commission of a serious offense and other serious offenses. The technical sergeant used a computer to seduce, solicit or lure whom they believed to be a 13-year-old child for unlawful sexual activity, travelled to a prearranged location with the intent to have sex with a person whom they believe to be a minor and admitted their intention was to have sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old child. The technical sergeant was discharged with an Under Other Than Honorable Conditions service characterization.
