The following information is a summary of nonjudicial punishments given by commanders under Article 15 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice during the month of March, 2015. The punishments are determined based on the individual facts and circumstances of each case.

Article 15's:

A senior airman from the 824th Base Defense Squadron was derelict in the performance of his/her duties in that he/she willfully failed to follow guidance by traveling to Jacksonville, Fla., while required to be on bed rest. For this offense, this senior airman received a reduction to the grade of airman first class with airman suspended and reprimand.

A senior airman from the 23d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron was absent without leave from his/her place of duty. For this offense, this senior airman received a reduction to the grade of airman first class, forfeiture of $250 pay per month for two months, suspended and reprimand.

A senior airman from the 723d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron was derelict in the performance of his/her duties in that he/she willfully misused his government travel card. For this offense, this senior airman received forfeiture of $328 pay per month for two months with one month suspended, 45 days extra duty and reprimand.

A senior airman from the 23d Security Forces  Squadron was derelict in the performance of his/her duties on multiple occasions in that he/she negligently failed to properly secure his/her weapon and failed to remain at his/her post until properly released. For these offenses, this senior airman received reduction to the grade of airman first class with airman suspended, forfeiture of $1,027 pay per month for two months suspended, 15 days extra duty and reprimand.

An airman first class from the 23d Equipment Maintenance Squadron stole an item from the Army and Air Force Exchange Service worth about $30.  For this offense, this airman first class received a reduction to the grade of airman, suspended with 30 days extra duty and reprimand.

A senior airman from the 23d Operations Support Squadron was derelict in the performance of his/her duties in that he/she willfully failed to adhere to cleanliness standards of the unaccompanied housing brochure and damaged military property through neglect. For these offenses, this senior airman received a reduction to the grade of airman first class and reprimand.

The following information is a summary of administrative discharges executed under AFI 36-3206 and AFI 36-3208, Administrative Separation of Airmen, during the month March, 2015. Discharges are imitated based on the individual facts and a circumstance of each case, and is a commander's decision to initiate. Former service members forego benefits given the specific discharge service characterization: Below are some examples:
- Honorable: None
- Under Honorable Conditions (General): GI Bill, Civil Service Employment Preference
- Under Other Than Honorable (UOTHC): GI Bill, Civil Service Employment Preference, Mileage, Payment for Accrued Leave


Notification Discharges:

A senior airman from 23d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron was discharged for Misconduct: Drug Abuse.  This senior airman wrongfully used marijuana.  This senior airman was discharged with an Under Honorable Conditions (General) service characterization.

Discharge Boards waived:

A senior airman from 723d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron was discharged for Misconduct: Minor Disciplinary Infractions.  This senior airman was derelict in the performance of his/her duties, made a false official statement, operated a vehicle while impaired by alcohol, and was involved in a physical altercation.  This senior airman was discharged with an Under Honorable Conditions (General) service characterization.

A senior airman from 23d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron was discharged for Misconduct: Drug Abuse.  This senior airman wrongfully used marijuana.  This senior airman was discharged with an Under Honorable Conditions (General) service characterization.

Discharge Boards:

An airman first class from 23d Civil Engineer Squadron was discharged for Commission of a Serious Offense: Other Serious Offenses.  This airman first class sent sexual nude photographs, text messages that were sexual in nature, and attempted to arrange a sexual encounter with a person believed to be a 14-year-old female.  This airman first class was discharged with an Under Other Than Honorable Conditions service characterization.

A first lieutenant from 93d Air Ground Operations Wing was discharged for Serious or Recurring Misconduct punishable by military or civilian authorities.  This first lieutenant communicated with an individual believed to be a 14-year-old female, used explicit verbal descriptions of sexual conduct on a computer and a cell phone. Additionally, this first lieutenant traveled to the house of an individual believed to be a 14-year-old female, intending to engage in sexual activity with that female.  This first lieutenant was discharged with an Under Other Than Honorable Conditions service characterization.
