Chief Master Sergeant JOSHUA T. SKARLOKEN

Chief Master Sergeant Skarloken is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, 93rd Air Ground Operations Wing, Moody Air Force Base, Georgia. The wing supports eight of the ten U.S. Army Divisions and consists of four groups with more than 2,800 Airmen at 20 locations throughout the continental United States. The 93 AGOW’s subordinate units are the 3rd Air Support Operations Group at Fort Hood, TX, the 18th ASOG at Fort Bragg, NC, the 5th Combat Weather Group at Fort Bragg, NC, and the 820th Base Defense Group at Moody AFB, GA. The ASOGs are home to the Tactical Air Control Party weapon system and Special Warfare Mission Support; providing Air, Space and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance expertise to plan, coordinate and execute the supported ground commander’s scheme of maneuvers, command and control capabilities and precision strike expertise. The 5 CWG predicts and provides meteorological intelligence in support of the joint force to enable and generate combat power by exploiting environmental conditions most advantageous for our allies and most adverse for strategic competitors, both in garrison and deployed. The 820 BDG is the only one of its kind in the U.S. Air Force; providing rapidly deployable, fully integrated, highly specialized forces for active internal and external base defense.

Chief Skarloken entered the Air Force in October of 1999. A career Defender, his background includes a myriad of Security Forces positions at the squadron and headquarters level, at both stateside and overseas bases. He has executed and managed Building Partner Capacity missions throughout Europe and Africa and deployed in support of Operations IRAQI FREEDOM, ENDURING FREEDOM, FREEDOM'S SENTINEL, INHERENT RESOLVE, and SPARTAN SHIELD and NATO's RESOLUTE SUPPORT MISSION.

Chief Skarloken advises the wing commander on matters influencing the readiness,training, equipping, morale, welfare, quality of life, and professional development of all assigned members of the wing. Prior to his current assignment, Chief Skarloken was the Senior Enlisted Leader, Inspections Directorate, Department of the Air Force Inspection Agency, Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico.
